Dutch Marines Rowing Challenge & MTC Tankcontainers

For 2 years now MTC Tankcontainers has been sponsoring the Dutch Marines Rowing Challenge (DMRC). This is an annual rowing competition is organized by former Marines. The DMRC collects money during this challenge to provide care to marines who have been injured during their work or suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder.

“We think it’s great that we can make a contribution from MTC Tankcontainers to the DMRC. Our marines are fighting for our freedom and deserve a podium after their mission.”, said MTC Tankcontainer Managing Director, Eric van Halewijn.

The DMRC and MTC Tankcontainer both participated at one stand at ‘Mussels from the Maas’ in 2018.

Previous challenges
In 2015 the DMRC rowed from Vlissingen to London, a journey of over 350 kilometers!

This year the Memorial Regatta Rotterdam was on the program on the 14th of May, which was about the memorial of the bombing of Rotterdam. This year it is 78 years ago that the Nazis destroyed the city center of Rotterdam during the attack on the Netherlands.

The Mayor of Rotterdam, Ahmed Aboutaleb,  gave the start signal for the rowing competition, consisting of a 16.65 kilometer trip through the beautiful scenery of Rotterdam.
